1. We believe that all students should have safe environments where they are expected to follow the rules, and the administration and staff are allowed to enforce the rules.

4. We believe that all students should accept responsibility for their behavior and academic progress.

7. We believe that teachers should clearly communicate learning expectations to students and actively monitor student performance to ensure attainment of objectives.

8. We believe that teachers should use state test data to identify high priority students and to align curriculum to ensure that all children are successful learners.

9. We believe that teachers, administrators, and school board should periodically review curriculum and policies to ensure students are progressing and successfully meeting system goals.

10. We believe that teachers, administrators, students, parents, and the community share responsibility for the support of the school's mission.

11. We believe that support services and resources should be provided to ensure highly qualified administrators, teachers, and support staff.

12. We believe that conferencing with parents should include assessment results, planning and goal setting.

  About The School  

Welcome to Bells Elementary School

Bells Elementary School serves approximately 440 students in grades Pre K - 5 in 23 regular education homerooms. Special programs include full time programs in Physical Education, English as a Second Language, Special Education, Speech/Language, Response to Intervention, Music/Art, Guidance, Save the Children and Coordinated School Health. BES also has teaching assistants in ESL, pre-kdg., special education, kindergarten, first grade and RTI. Our full time secretary,bookkeeper and part-time records technician and webmaster keep our school running efficiently, as well as our cafeteria staff which serve approximately 615 meals every day.

Recent site improvements include replacing ceiling tiles and new painting throughout the entire building.

Recent technology improvements include Elmos and LCD projectors being installed in every classroom and our updated website which will hopefully be very user friendly for communication between school and home.
